One of the handful of remaining Thames Sailing Barges, Ethel Ada has been stylishly converted for small charter sailing holidays for groups of up to 12 passengers, with a crew of 2 or 3.

Guests can live on board and are encouraged to take part in all aspects of sailing the barge, from navigating to setting the sails.

Although she carries 3,500 sq ft of canvas, Ethel Ada is surprisingly responsive and easy to sail, and with her shallow draft, there are endless creeks and waterways to be explored.

There are a multitude of tasks for sailors of all abilities, and plenty of time to sit and enjoy the views of coastline and mudflats gliding past.
